I am currently an editor and reporter for Georgia Public Broadcasting, the state's NPR member station. You may have heard me on the radio where you live even if that's not Georgia. 

Audio journalism has been almost half my career at this point. The other half was photojournalism, both as a staff photographer at dailies around the South and as a freelancer for places like the New York Times, Propublica and the Washington Post.

It's the daily work in the communities where I lived that meant the most. That is still the case.
